"You learn to move and move to learn"
- Dr. Robert Strauss,
Director of San Antonio Busy Bodies, Motor Learning Center

Foundations for Learning combines remedial education practices with the best methods from the field of movement education into a holistic process for learning. The program addresses each child at their developmental stage and presents a multi-sensory approach to learning.

Each child is evaluated at the beginning of their program and at subsequent points to document their progress. The program is offered throughout the school year. Sessions are offered in individual, semi-private and small group classes.

Jane Clanton Bick designed the program from her extensive background in education. She has drawn from her over twenty-five-year career in education and has combined her background in remedial education with her study of movement education, developmental learning, and the expressive arts. She received an undergraduate degree in psychology, movement and theatre from Virginia Commonwealth University and has also studied at the Sunbrigde College, Hunter College graduate school in New York, and Southwest Texas State University.

Ms. Bick's career has included kindergarten, elementary through middle school and university teaching. She has also worked with students with both learning differences and attention related disorders, in Austin, Texas. Ms. Bick currently works with children in her private practice and at private schools. She also offers workshops for and consults with parents and schools.
